About the Project
The St. Austin Catholic Parish Site Redevelopment is a $159.5 million program developed by Greystar Development Central LLC and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin. This groundbreaking land-lease partnership is a long-term funding strategy for the parish, allowing the Diocese to rebuild their parish and school. Additionally, the program enables Greystar to develop a 29-story student housing tower on parish land. Together, these two buildings cover 777,071 square feet. The student housing tower, known as The Union on San Antonio, comprises approximately 423 units, 991 beds, and a parking garage with space for 418 cars. The 640,071-square-foot high-rise also features a lobby, office areas, gyms, a pool, and other building amenities. The new parish building is 75,316 square feet and includes classrooms, a parish hall, offices, meeting rooms, an outdoor playground, and a rooftop activity deck.
