About the Project
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) Delta Sky Club – Concourse A CM at Risk project included construction of a multi-story 47,193 SF superstructure, a 6,000 SF shell expansion of the existing Club at SEA and a 24,000 SF interior fit-out of a dual-lounge space, a Delta Sky Club and a Delta One Lounge on the floor above. The build-out provides a total of 404 seats, including a Sky Deck. The Delta Sky Club and Delta One Lounge feature high-end finishes and millwork, a bar, café, restroom and shower facilities, audiovisual features and other elements consistent with the Delta Sky Club and Delta One brands. Support service areas include a full-service commercial kitchen, freezers, storage rooms, employee spaces and general office space.
The construction team built the project on a highly constrained site and coordinated extensively with the Port of Seattle to maintain the ongoing operations of the airport. As part of the new construction scope, the team erected a structural steel moment frame and a cantilevered superstructure supported by columns. They also installed a curtain wall system featuring insulated metal panels and electrochromic glazing, designed to complement the airport’s aesthetics.
