Hensel Phelps teamed with CBIC Construction & Development as a Joint Venture and was awarded Hobby Airport FIS Terminal contract in Houston, Texas. The William P. Hobby Houston Federal Inspection Services (FIS) Terminal Project will consist of a two-level, 280,000-square-foot terminal with ticket counter, six security lanes, five arrival and departure gates, demolition of the existing Badge and Administrative facility, relocation of several HAS offices and shops to an existing HAS facility, relocation of communications facilities, relocation of the Southwest Airlines ticket counter, and relocation of the security check point. Construction is planned to break ground in Spring 2014, with final completion scheduled for Fall 2015.
