Hensel Phelps – Top 25 Best Corporations for Veteran-Owned Businesses

The National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) and Vetrepreneur magazine recognized Hensel Phelps as a Top 25 Best Corporations for Veteran-Owned Businesses that most successfully engage the nation’s 3 million veteran-owned businesses.

To determine the “25 Best Corporations for Veteran-Owned Businesses,” Vetrepreneur analyzed large companies using web research, telephone inquiries, and a survey posted earlier this year. The rankings are based upon company policies relating to the inclusion of veteran-owned businesses as part of the company’s supplier diversity program and the way in which that company utilizes its outreach program to attract veteran-owned businesses. NaVOBA and Vetrepreneur also explored the company’s procurement infrastructure and allocation of assets, the existence and quality of a mentor-protégé program, and any supplemental actions the company may have taken to improve its relationship with veteran-owned businesses.

This year’s honorees includes Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, BAE Systems, Battelle, Booz Allen Hamilton, Comcast, NBC Universal, Dell, DynCorp, Express Script, Flour, Johnson & Johnson, JP Morgan Chase, Leidos, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Pacific Gas & Electric, PNC Financial, Rockwell Collins, Sanofi, Shell, UPS, URS, USAA and most importantly, Hensel Phelps.

“The corporations on this list know the real value of military training and how those intangible skills also tie into running a successful business,” said NaVOBA President Chris Hale.
