About the Project

The Central Terminal Area Departure and Arrival Levels Security Bollards – Phase 2 project for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) included the installation of 2,207 K-rated bollards on the departures and arrivals levels in the central terminal area at LAX. This project was part of enhanced security measures at LAX. The bollards provide additional passenger security and further separate pedestrians from vehicles. The work was completed at night with minimal impacts on traffic flow and airport operations.
