Hensel Phelps delivered the Love Field Modernization Program’s (LFMP) new Terminal 2 ticket hall and curbside check-in. The football-field-length ticket hall provides an efficient and convenient travel experience with spacious ticket counters, easy access to curbside check-in, and free Wi-Fi services.
The aviation facility includes unique artwork, such as a bronze sculpture of seven 12-foot trees in a new interior courtyard. This LFMP milestone precedes the final construction phases of the Terminal 2 lobby and roadway in preparation for the opening of the first 12 gates on the new Terminal 2 Concourse in April 2013. The full, 750,000 SF renovation is scheduled for final completion in 2015, and will also include a new baggage claim, new parking lots, and 8 additional gates for a total of 20 new gates. The project is designed for LEED Silver certification.
