Craft
Development Program
Hensel Phelps Construction Co. is recruiting for its Craft Development
Program. This program is a fast-track leadership pathway at Hensel
Phelps for applicants interested in becoming leaders charged with
building multi-million dollar projects. In keeping with the company’s
philosophy of promoting supervisors from within, this program starts
the employee in an entry level position. The employee is then selected
to enter an apprenticeship program (paid by the company) while working
and being paid as an apprentice. Following graduation from the apprenticeship
program, fast-tracking individuals will be given every opportunity
to become leaders on the jobsite and be exposed to all aspects of
commercial construction in different areas of the country. As craft
skills improve, so will leadership responsibility to motivate and
supervise fellow employees. Leadership skills will continue to be
developed through training and hands-on experience. Mastering a
craft, developing leadership skills and becoming a loyal hardworking
member of Hensel Phelps Construction Co. can lead to a promotion
to superintendent.
