The F.O.G. Seminar is held annually for all new Hensel Phelps salaried employees. It is designed to familiarize them with the company's operations and philosophies. During this three-day seminar, employees are exposed to all aspects of a successful operation, from field and office engineering to project scheduling.
Hensel Phelps offers detailed seminars designed specifically for Project and Office Engineers. Topics include processing submittals, the shop drawing review process, procurement of materials, processing pay applications, and contract administration.

Teamwork seminars are scheduled approximately every 18 months for employees working on the Area Superintendent, Senior Estimator, Project Manager level and above. These seminars provide comprehensive work sessions to assist all levels of supervision to perform better. In addition to the presentation of new skills and technologies, these Teamwork Seminars provide for an exchange of ideas among personnel with similar responsibilities.
These monthly meetings give employees the chance to come together to hear new and exciting company business, and to learn different perspectives from keynote speakers outside of the organization, to address a wide variety of subjects.
C.I.P. is a system implemented to utilize employee ideas. It is designed to improve project quality, safety, schedule and cost as well as employee and owner satisfaction. C.I.P. allows input from all employees to improve each task we perform.
