P-946 Corrosion Control Hangar

About the Project

The P-946 Corrosion Control Hangar facility, located at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, is a state-of-the-art facility that provides essential support for the maintenance of various military aircraft. The new 29,408 SF hangar includes one bay for aircraft depaint operations and an adjacent paint bay for the application of new coatings. Additional support spaces include hazardous material storage, administrative office space, a tool room, a paint mixing room, a stencil room and equipment storage. The facility provides spaces for maintenance, repair, paint preparation and painting of H-1, H-60, CH-53 and MV22 series aircraft. The steel-framed hangar includes a steel roof deck and shallow concrete footing.
